Do your eyes glaze over just thinking about the mumbo-jumbo language of finance? Do you break out into hives when faced with getting your financial life together? Well, sister, you are not alone.
I was watching the Wendy Williams show the other morning-Yes, I watch her every morning because I believe in keeping it REAL and she certainly keeps it real. This morning she had a guest speaker buy the name of Nicole Lapin. Now talk about keeping it real, she is the author of a book called Rich B^tch. I think we all know what the second word is!
Well this certainly hit home for me. I was just thinking yesterday, that I need to get a hold of my finances and certainly the title of her book caught my attention. So I placed an order to have it delivered to my Kindle. Mind you, I have read many financial books over the years, that I've made about 1/4 of the way through, this book is a wonderful mix of extremely important financial advice and just enough entertainment to keep me reading, but while providing me financial advice.
I read the book in just a few hours and honestly felt like I was having a conversation with one of my trusted girlfriends that was explaining a tried and true method.
The target audience for this book includes women(though, the advice applies to men too) in their late 20s and 30s (and maybe even early 40s) who don't have a lot of money/investment experience and who also don't have complicated investment portfolios. If a glossary that includes the terms 401(k), AGI, Home Equity Loan, and Index Fund would be useful for you, then this book is right for your level of financial literacy.
How's your Finances?
